Gotta Get Up (Inc. DJ Spen Mixes) Juke-Joint-feat.-Yvonne-Brown

Dance music's new diva-in-the-making, Yvonne Brown delivers a sultry performance on this uptempo cover of Jill Scott's 'Gotta Get Up'. Produced by Denver, Colorado's own House music tunesmiths, Juke Joint fellows, DJ Dealer and DJ Sensè have weaved an energy driven 'shake-your-body and sweat' ditty for the dance floor. Also, included here, a mix by the one of dance music’s most sought after DJ/producer/remixers, DJ Spen. He brings a 'funk' that only he and his merry Muthafunkaz can provide.

Side A opens up with Spen's MuthaFunkaz Get You Up Mix. Starting with the standard 4/4 intro that builds into gurgling percussions, snappy organs and bass, intertwined with Irvin Madden's razor sharp guitar set the stage for Yvonne's opening verse. The production has a relentless energy to keep any dance floor 'locked in the groove'. Spen gives the bridge dramatic strokes and the neat spacey solo courtesy of nimble-fingered Gary Hudgins climaxes at the end.

Side B opens with the Juke Joint's Original Mix. It is replete with a dense, meaty kick drum and insistent percussion and a prominent elastic bassline that seems to court Yvonne's gliding intro ad libs. Inventive keyboard sounds, layered sustained strings that support the chorus without overpowering it. The endearing bridge peaks and breaks down to just kick and bass leaving Yvonne to scat, run, and purr in that sexy breathy voice! Mix ends cold. The MuthaFunkaz Dub Work stretches out the intro with Ms. Brown repeating the title on top. The spacey keyboard solo boldly makes an appearance midway until the end. A thumper! The MuthaFunkaz Dubstrumental is available as a digital download only.

My Brazil Haldo

Getting the thumbs up from DJ’s like Hippie Torrales, Deli G, Joey Negro, Timmy Vegas, Groove Assassin, Phil Hooton, DJ Pope, Kenny Carpenter, Neil Pierce, Mike Fossati, “My Brazil” has been buzzing on the DJ circuit since the WMC ’06. Presented here are two mixes sure to set a hot Brazilian fire on the dance floor. The Haldo Original Mix opens with a long intro designed with a full and warm kick bottom progressing slowly into that all too familiar chugga-chugga percussion. Several keyboard melodies are positioned with razor sharp accuracy; from deep latex keys to Motown-styled Funk Brothers keys ala 1966, insistent, fiery and passionate. The slick horn arrangement and wicked Latin guitar solo weave around each other never clashing taking turns to grab the spotlight. The Haldo vs. Jacko Dub Edit takes another approach. Bits and pieces of the melody are built with gothic sounding organs, funky electro percussions, rubbery synths that brazenly saunter with an attitude of a diva on the prowl. The Santana-ish guitar and hypnotic high-end piano solo drives this home. Very DJ friendly.

Produced by Aldo “Haldo” Carpanzano. All instruments and additional programming by Haldo. Guitar solo by Savino. Additional Dub Edit by Haldo and Jacko. Mixed and recorded by Haldo @ Proceed Records Studio, Rome, Italy. Executive Producer: Tony Humphries. Publishers: Aldo “Haldo” Carpanzano (SIAE) / Yellorange (ASCAP)

Jam Jam Jam (All Night Long) Stereo-Daze-feat.-Black-Shampu

This revamped People’s Choice party song, cleverly updated, keeps close to the feel and the drive of the original. One can’t help to ‘Jam All Night Long’ when directed by the intense male lead of Black Shampu. He’s on fire, dripping with sweat, you can’t deny there’s a party going on! Included here are several mixes to keep the party jumping. The warm, classic sound of The Akustik Mix is complete with sleek guitar licks, bold organs as the lead delivers over the winding organs and funky guitar solo. The Club Vocal opens with the familiar 4/4 kick and the guitar lick from the original version is replayed to perfection. The mix is very rhythm and lead guitar driven as the beefy bassline boils under the production. It builds and drops and takes the funky way out with a bass breakdown as it hangs on the bridge down to the kick. Ends cold. The Deep Guitar Mix places emphasis on heavier bottoms and Salsoul inspired congas under the crazy, jazz guitar riffs. The 80’s electro sound of the Deeper Dub Mix with its spacey effects and Yaz induced rubber synth bassline is funky. If you rock electro dub house, then this mix is for you. The Dub Mix is an extension of the Deeper Dub. The elastic bassline controls the mix until the end. Intermittent guitars and retro 80’s sound effects weave in and out over the bubbling groove.

Produced by Stereo Daze aka Ivan N. DJ and Alessandro C. Sound Designer. All vocals performed by Black Shampu. Additional Production and Re-Edit By Stereo Daze. Guitar by Sandro Gibellini, Guitar by Pierluigi Permon, Bass by Cico Cicognani. Mixed and recorded by Stereo Daze @ Highland Studios, Brescia, Italy. Executive Producer: Tony Humphries. Publishers: Mighty Three Music (BMI) / Yellorange (ASCAP)

Tony Records presents "Let The Music" by Brent Laurence feat. Emily. Offered here are four mixes sure to be an add to any DJ's vocal and dub bin. Big Moses' "Revamped Vox" features punchy bottoms, out-in-front timbales, smoothed out keys and string overlays that support Emily's plaintive, "let's-get-together-and-have-a-ball" lyric. A slick, jazzy rhodes piano solo flows freely until the end. The "Spellband vs. Jacko" remix takes on a thicker, low-end 4/4 kick, under a live and electronic bass that growl along side inventive piano stabs. Carefully positioning Emily's vocals and giving her the freedom to ad lib, Spellband and Jacko add creative musical sound effects around the production making for a well-paced mix. The "Big Moses NJ meets Chicago Dub" and ""Spellband vs. Jacko instrumental" included.
